Acting & Theatre Creation Camp!

At the Dietrich Theater in downtown Tunkhannock
For ages 6 to 12
Mon. – Friday, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Camp 1: July 20 - 24
Camp 2: July 27 - 31
Young creators and performers enrolled in this fun and engaging camp will use their imagination while learning all about acting and play making through theatre games, improvisation, storytelling, character creation and more. In this workshop, participants will engage in fun and exciting games, while learning core acting and theatre skills. All students of any experience level are welcome! All Star Players Summer Theatre Camp

Working with an original short play written by playwright and teacher Brenda Fager, teen actors will discover the importance of SETTING (where the story takes place), while also learning the basics of acting: character (WHO you are on stage), blocking (WHERE you are on stage), and motivation (WHY you are on stage). Using acting exercises and theatre games, cleverly disguised to grow their acting skills, theyll have the opportunity for a short performance by the end of the week. Theatre & Visual Arts Camp: Hidden Worlds! Explore the World of Mystery and History

Mon. – Fri., July 27 - 31
Who were the people of Atlantis? What is Easter Island, and the lands that Moana traveled? What was hidden in the great tombs of Ancient Egypt? Our world is full of hidden and amazing places that we are still exploring and learning about. In this camp, we will explore them all, including the hidden world of our imaginations, while learning about art, acting, character, and story. We will make props, masks, puppets, costumes, and characters all about these mysterious realms. Will you be a mighty Polynesian queen? Maybe a demigod or ancient Egyptian Pharaoh? Or better yet, maybe you will show us a character hidden in the secret world of your imagination! Camp will culminate in a casual performance of the campers' original play. Mat and Chair Integrated Kundalini Yoga
